I have now replaced the fuse with a 30A relay with the same results, trips out at close to 9A.
I measured the voltage across the relay and it is 0,11v. Mean anything to you?
Interesting enough the voltage from the battery on that line is only 11,8v whereas across the battery (both measured with the car running) is 13,5v. Does the volt drop on the line to the relay denote a short somewhere in that circuit?

Considering that Line Voltage Drop your getting, I'm Quite Sure your Drawing MUCH MORE than 9 Amps.

Hi Gary,
I just joined up today. Sorry to hear you may close the forum, but of course, it's your decision. IF you ever get to Australia, I got a spot for you to stay, free, as long as you want, in my caravan park near the Victorian gold fields. It's not a bad spot, you'd probably would like it.
Best regards Frank

I do these Trips More for her than Me. I only like some Scenery. (Mainly: Waterfalls, Mountains & Lakes) She likes most all, including Ancient ruins. Next Trip were now planning is to South Africa. GOOD IDEA MREILLY -MIKE CADILLAC, MI AND YES WE ALL MAKE SPELLING MISTAKES. I RECENTLY FOUND A MIDDLE SCHOOL SPELLING BOOK FROM THE 1870'S. ANYONE THINK THEY CAN SPELL AS WELL AS THOSE STUDENTS. THE REQUIREMENTS WERE MUCH HIGHER THAN TODAY.

Gary, I have been away from electronics for about one year. I changed vocations and moved to eastern Montana where I teach high school science. I check into the forum at least once a week, but I have no time for personal electronic projects. I like to visit the site but I wish there we more postings than just threads about stun guns. It may be a while before I can become active again, but I will continue to drop in as long as the forum is alive Richard Meyn (rmeyn)

Was Mosfetti ..... now Eugene, from South Africa.
Looks like this could be a friendly forum. Anybody want to talk about free energy ideas? .... could be a real interesting subject. Do you believe that the generation of usable electricity is a viable proposition? Following on, do you think it's possible to design "self-running" engines/motors?
Best regards to all. (If Murphy's law is correct, everything East of the San Andreas Fault will slide into the Atlantic)

Hello Folks, Wisconsinjimmy here from the great town of Laketown, I have always been interested in electronics and now that I am retired I am going to try and learn. On Monday Oct 11 I collected a full pickup load of old electronics from caps to whole motherboards to VCR's IBM tape drives also printers etc. Mainly interested in motors. In the bunch I have a USN radar dohicky just all kinds of stuff and more coming daily. Now to lean to make or smoke something. ;D Jim

Hello everyone here, and of course you Garry, What a great site you have here,I have a TV business here in southwest England, My main hobby is metal detecting, i have 2 machines one of which is a whites single frequency, and the other a minelab multi frequency,I am very tempted to build one of your pulse detectors, Garry, with your pulse detector, is there ways to tell between the different metals, i only ask because far as i can tell the earlier pulse types didnt, and that was the drawback. Anyway so nice to let me join, and if theres anything in the uk, that you cant get where you live, just give me a call ok, my web page is avontvaerialsofbath.co.uk Kind regards All the best Dave
