I have made Chemlec's simple efie, a feat for me as I have no clue with electronics! They only had a 10k pot but that does not matter as I can still select within the 0 to 0.5 volt range as required. I have tested it with my multimeter and it shows that the device is working perfectly (i.e. I can select any voltage between 0 and 0.5 volts).
I have connected it in line as per Gary's diagram and I am pretty sure that I have it all correct.
Now, how do I find the right setting? Do I choose a number and run the car for a while to see if there is a difference? If not, I move on to another setting? I only have a multimeter for limited testing. I don't have the means to pay for an emissions analysis. What all should I be looking for?
I'd appreciate advice from anyone with practical suggestions.
