I don't know how many readers may have had cause to build the "Simple Voltage Booster", but I offer the following testamony. When retiring in 2007, I finished up a 47 year career as a EE in a manufacturing environment. During the last ten years or so, I specialized in sensor technology. Since most industrial sensors operate on 24 VDC, it was always a pain to have to lug out a power supply to a particular machine that was having trouble. Fast Forward to The Simple Voltage Booster...................... When Gary released the Simple Voltage Booster, I was one of the first buyers. By utilizing the Simple Voltage Booster, I was able to power it from a 9 volt battery, and boost the output to 24 Volts. This gave me a"Portable 24 VDC" power source, that fit in my shirt pocket. After making up some common connection jumpers, I was able to drastically decrease the machine downtime by quickly determining the "Go No Go" status of any sensor. Kudoos to you Gary for a simple design (few parts) that works as you said it would. I have had several offers from other engineers for my Simple Voltage Booster, but I will never part with it. It works like the jewel that it is.
