Hi everyone alive As many of you know, stun guns was my hobby for years, beyond Steel Rats Club. Since steelrats.net has been closed, i run a personal blog, currently located at ecdinside.info/ , where i place teardown of commercial stun guns (mostly Russian) , and some thoughts on DIY ones. I have never based this activity either on "popularity" (number of visitors) or any commercial aspect. This was an altruistic project, in addition to forum.guns.ru/forumtopics/35.html stun guns forum. However, now in 2021, i see no point in keeping this online, paying for host, etc. Partially, because of general lack of interest for any DIY or creativity in RU (and not only) 'Net. Partically, because almost any market available stun gun was already described, e.g. topic had ran itself out.
So i decided not to renew this anymore. Hosting is paid till about the end of 2021 (i dont remember exact date, september or november maybe) . If anyone is interested, i suggest to grab whole site for offline use with any software like httrack. Of course, i will not disappear (at least not planning to ) myself, so any questions & suggestions are welcome.
Hello Lamazoid, I know what you were doing with these stun guns and tried to follow you. In the past I went sometimes to that forum, but unfortunately I cannot understand the Russian language. So pitty! I hope to see more of you in the future.
I use a lot of Russian obscene lexicon on my site, which is (yet) unable to be translated by Google (strange, considering that Goggle was found by Russian guy) Don't ask me why, Russian slang is a different thing, compared to English, it's not just a lexicon but a part of culture. But i can make translation of some articles if anyone is interested. I also have English versions of original Steelrats articles about "malicious stun gun" part 1 and 2. Maybe i will put these on some free hosting later.
the special value of it is the storytelling from a non-electronic guy, explained simply "on fingers". but he literally makes dozens of those for sale, so every small detail is proven by years of practice.
its in Russian, of course, but does not use those drunken-obscene lexicon and "bad guy" style, as was intentionally done in most other SRC creations
