Are These TWO Separate Items?
A Moisture Sensor is easy. Variable LED Flasher, also easy.
Or s this a Moisture Sensor that Flashes an LED? Not so Easy.

as i guess, he wants variable flash intensity depending on moisture level. this is (very)easy to do with microcontroller. or maybe some pwm ic also could be utilized for this... maybe even 555 timer..

I was looking for a water sensor to bury in pea gravel in the floor ,where it will soon be under concrete. I would like to have it very low drain and just mounted to a buzzer of some kind in the bottom of the cabinet so a normally open circuit that would be closed by water present. I use to know how to tinker and build easy circuts like this. I was just hoping someone here would have the know how to show me the easiest way. thanks

the easiest way to this lies in proper construction plans underfloor space should be properly drained and ventilated to avoid moistening.

Perhaps I should of explained myself better. This is a trouble spot at a drain inside the floor of a slab house. old cast pipes that have been fixed but There is a floor drain there where a lot of other pipes tie into it. I would just like a sensor that would tell me if the gravel around it is getting wet before it becomes a larger problem. I think I have a simple circuit now that is low drain and hopefully non corrosive enough to bury.

Schematic of Water Detector. With No Moisture, No Current Draw. The LED can be Replaced with a Piezo Buzzer, for a Warning Sound.
