Hi Gary, I've wondering , could you tell me if it is possible to make an oscillator by wiring together two normally open SPST 30 amp Auto-Accessory Relays. Sorta like what This Guy is doing with a single normally closed relay. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGickC_VoXg It will be used to drive a ignition coil.

But Yes it is Possible. However, I Don't consider it Practical. Relay Contacts ARC, causing breakdown. An ALL Electronic Circuit is much better.

Unfortunately, sometimes 1 lb of relay is replaced by 50 lbs solid state stuff. When I worked on early tube type 2-way radios, they mostly used vibrators (a form of relay) They did just fine in mobile equiptment that had to run on 12 volts. In darkest Africa, and other places, viberator driven tube grear still has a big advantage, It can still be repaired by simi-trained, bumpkin with a hand full of parts that just plug in. Viberators can last many years. Even the dc-dc type. Hey, it's all good :-)

I'd like to wire two relays (normally open)that I have, to oscillate continuously. I want to use the relays collapsing voltage to drive a ignition coil. I know that there are many ways to wire two relays together to achieve different results of switching, as you can find here. www.dlcparts.com/images/BoschGuide.pdf - I just haven't found a proper way of doing this yet.

I doubt you can do that with 2 normally open relays. You'll need 2 double pole single through relays and some capacitors and resistors to control the cyclic rate. Years ago I made a burgular alarm for my service van that way. The oscillator had a 5 cps rate and honked the horn, and had a timed latch relay to control how long the "broadcast" lasted. Good luck.
