Hi Gary hope I find you OK. I'm not on any relevant trade I live in the other side of the world and have no relevant finantial interest but do this: Get Seleniun sup- plement about half a milligram a day, vit C like 4-5 gram a day and go on something like 90 % vegeterian. This will buy you some time and we can figure something out. Already figured it but need more info on your condition. Nik

I find this a misplaced post!
Everyone would like to help Gary, but I think he'd choose himself which help he wants.

Gary.... Wishing you a god day today and forever.
Yes Dante... All we can do is support Gary and hope for the best for him.
We all find ourselves helplessly unable to do anything ! Sometimes that's the way the story goes.

Hi retiredat55. Of course what you said stands, but according to the prognose given to our friend by the side you imply, that is not exactly a help. Just saying. And untill further notice there is always the theoretical possibility to get in contact through the net with someone that knows a bit out of mainstream -as well with contact with the worst scumbags, I don't deny that- Now my intenti- ons are easy to evaluate,I just hope ther's time.

Hello, I just found this site the other day and would like to know if Gary is still actively participating. I have a couple questions if he is, if not I wish him all the best. Thank you.

Hi Diesel Forty,...
You could say that he is resting and unable to help you at this time.
Me and Dante are here kinda holding down the fort.
If you have questions post them here and see what happens. You might find your answer.

Thanks for the information. I am interested in building the alternator regulator but there are some specifics I need to work out. 1st, it needs to hold the output at 105 to 110 v to charge a 96 v nominal battery. Also the alternator output needs to be isolated from chassis ground since this is a hybrid car traction battery and is not grounded through the frame. So, I need to know what component values will give the proper output and any changes in the circuit that might be necessary. In case you are wondering I already have modified my alternator and it works well at the intended voltage, I just need to have a suitable way of automatically regulating it. Thanks again for any help you can give. Don

Diesel Forty, Let me point you to one of Garys projects. chemelec.com/Projects/Alternator/Alternator-Reg.htmIt all looks possible with high enough rpm and zener diode change. As far as isolation, you just have to keep it separated starting at the alternator. (no common ground) Hope this helps you. Jerry

Thanks for your response. I realized two things after I posted, I should have started a new thread to avoid cluttering this one and that I should have mentioned that my questions were in reference to the MOSFET regulator on the Projects page. That said, I will close out this post and start a new thread.
