Some Problems with them here also. Rarely see the big "Bumble Bees" anymore.

Here I see it just the other way around like a few years ago...... Now more Bumblebees than Honeybees.

This is the kind of award winning picture that one finds in photography books regarding composition, color, and interest. Assuming that it was a spur of the moment shot, i.e., you just happened to have your camera at hand, it is a great close up picture. Was it taken with the same camera you used at the recent Foreigner concert?

No, Not the Same Camera as the Foreigner and Herman's Hermits. This was taken with a SX120IS, 10MP and 10X Optical. (Very Similar to the SX130IS.) I took about 15 Shots of the bees, This was the Best One.

Nice pic! Here in The Nederlands we have every year less honey bees....... How over there? the same in Russia recent years... there are rumors about some kind of "virus" or even a bio-engineered weapon... people tend to blame big agriculture companies, like Monsanto.

The only thing we can do about it is to plant as much as possible different flowers in every garden and create also bee-hotels! Just google : bee hotel and it will be clear.
