Hi again. This post relates to the dc chsrging circuit thread. The ship is a large RC warship model. It has many functioning components that will need to be controlled/monitored by a laptop(actually several). Guns, searchlights, optical feeds, anchors just some to name a few... 4 U1 type gel cells supply power to the ship. I plan on usung a FM carrier to carry data and commands to/from the laptops. Will use auto type relays to control most of the functions. Basic stamp programming will be used as the operating system. The hull structure is basically done as are sections of the superstructure. This winters project is to get the propulsion system up and running. Possibly the steering gear if I dont run out of cool weather. There are many circuits I have to build. Such as stepper motors for the gun turrets to "follow" the movement of the director. Water sensors...rpm for all 4 shafts....FM tansmitters and recievers..mux and demux..I have basic ideas on how im going to do all of this, but will definately need/listen to more expertise on how I might make it better....does anybody have an answer to the alternator issue? . I have to start on that section this weekend Z
