point in case; it doesnt work. please dont make fun of the shotty soldering the pcb was made by myself, using blank pcb, a white out pen to draw on the traces and ferric chloride. almost all the components in this project have been replaced and it still doesnt work at one stage, all the lights lit up in a weird pattern going from bright at the edges to dim in the middle. then it went to just the 2 middle lights working and now none of the lights work. if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to make it work they would be greatly appreciated thanks.

One Suggestion, not that you want to hear it is: You definately need more practice in your soldering. It looks like there may be some "Cold" Solder Joints. It also looks like I can see a Short at one point.
Next Suggestion: Mail Me your board, Plus the Cost of the Return Postage and I'll try to fix it for you. ( No Charge for any Parts I may need to replace. )
Another suggestion: A proper circuit board might help. ** Lastly, if you spent some time to learn how to solder better, possibly I could send you out a proper board for free.
I could also send you some junk boards to practice soldering on.

being someone who likes to make things and figure things out, i wont send my board to you. or else i may never know what was wrong.
im thinking of just making a new pcb, except make it bigger and more spread out so there is less chances of solder bridges and copper traces touching each other.

If you really want to learn, buy a breadboard.
Than you can Proto-Type the Circuits before you actually build them. And No Soldering.

Yes it Still Stands, And Yes I would tell you what Errors there were.
I Would think the Return Postage would be $4.00 in US Money. CASH in your letter. But I also don't know where you live?
So if your interested?, *** You need to Email me to get my "Name and Address" and tell me where you live.
Take care.......Gary

Hi Gary,
Were you able to get this members board up and running?
His attempt at etching a board looks a lot like my first attempt MANY years ago, though I don't remember my soldering looking quite that way. Suspecting what was left of the copper traces weren't cleaned too well be beginning the actual construction work.
I still remember troubleshooting that first attempt at etching a board using a Radio Shack pc board 'kit' and trying to find the tiny copper traces that remained to confound me after the etch!

I Think So. But Sorry, I'm Not sure.
That was quite awhile ago and I get a LOT of Requests for all kinds of stuff.
Presently I get about 30 Emails a Day on many topics.
